Historical background

Ecoalliance, previously Automotive Catalysts Plant incorporated in the Ural Electrochemical Integrated Plant, JSC (UEIP), is situated in Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk region.

Development works on car exhaust gases conversion have been carried out since 1989 on the basis of the long term experience in creation and production of catalysts for fuel cells for space application. Physical-chemical basis of production has been and still is result of own development works of expert team. Automotive Catalysts Plant was established in 1994. Capacity of Automotive Catalysts Plant ensures supply of exhaust gases catalysts demands of all automotive plants of Russia and CIS (former USSR).

Problem of conversion of vehicle exhaust gases was solved in Russia before adoption of relevant regulations. "…Such development provoked conflict, there were many opponents. We had to push the solution through proving the fact that the lion's share of air pollution is caused by vehicles. As a result we were assigned the task to supply all USSR plants demand for conversion systems".
